- Tour guides, while providing their services, must refrain from propaganda, prejudices, and imposing their own opinions, presenting only reliable, factual, and accurate information about the host country (exceptions include scientific, historical hypotheses, literary narratives, legends, or other traditional stories).
- Tour guides must follow the safety and preservation rules of the environment and guide tourists accordingly.
- Tour guides must adhere to the rules and regulations in protected areas and guide tourists accordingly.
The tour guide must show respect for the country they are providing services in (symbols, laws, social and moral norms, traditions, and customs).
- Before providing services, tour guides must understand the communication specifics of the tourist group (depending on ethnic, religious, or other factors).
- Tour guides must demonstrate attentive, respectful, and non-discriminatory behavior towards tourists.
- Tour guides must exercise religious and political restraint when serving tourists.
- Tour guides must refrain from unnecessarily revealing personal, family, or private life details to tourists.
- Tour guides must present themselves appropriately, neat, and clean, avoid overusing jewelry, and wear the uniform provided by the Company, if applicable.
- Tour guides is not authorized to alter the tourist program or itinerary without the Company’s approval, even if requested by tourists.
- Tour guides must inform the Company promptly about any issues arising during the excursion or tourist program that may negatively affect the quality of services or endanger the safety of tourists.
- If tourists face any violations of their rights, assaults, or loss of belongings, the tour guide must immediately inform the Client and the authorities.
- Tour guides must refrain from actions that could harm the Company’s honor, business reputation, or authority.
- Tour guides should not use the Company’s name for personal or other purposes without prior approval.
- Tour guide is not authorized to sell items or services to tourists that are not included in the excursion or tourism package, nor to demand tips.
- Tour guides should listen, record, and take into account complaints, observations, or comments made by tourists during the tour.
- Tour guides must inform tourists about the responsible tourism guidelines adopted by the Company.
- Tour guides must refrain from using tobacco or alcoholic beverages while providing services.
- While serving tourists, the tour guide must avoid using slang, jargon, offensive language, or insults (except when the tour guide is required to explain the local dialect during tourists’ inquiries).
- Tour guides must maintain discipline, punctuality, and integrity.
- Tour guides must provide information or create a brief report after each excursion or tourism program.
