Route

Direction 1Areni Cave or Bird's Cave

In 2010, in Areni Cave, or, as it is also called, the Bird’s Cave, located in the Vayots Dzor region, the oldest shoe in the world aged 5.5 thousand years was discovered, and in January 2011 in the same place the oldest world winery and women’s skirt dating back to 3900 BC were found.

Direction 2Mozrov cave

In 1980 during the construction of the Arpi-Mozrov road the road builders blasted some accumulation of limestone, under which they discovered an expanding passage leading to the Mozrov cave. The cave is considered a natural monument of world significance rich in various cave formations.

Direction 3Observation point for bezoars

The only observation point for bezoar goats in Armenia is Shatin village. You can see Bezoar goats mixed in with the magnificent views of the Shatin Mountains. At the observation deck visitors can use binoculars to watch how the goats climb the mountains.
